Fan Review of the 2012/13 Season - Sheffield Wednesday

1) It has been a very interesting season at Hillsborough. "Avoiding relegation" was the target in pre-season. That was achieved. How can Sheffield Wednesday build from last season? Firstly, we need to replace the quality we lost from our loan signings, such as Leroy Lita, who've all gone back to Read more

The Joe Kinnear Show / Arsenal To Land Higuain

Good morning. Joe Kinnear was a theatrical, comedic goldmine yesterday on Talksport, saying that he's "more intelligent" than Newcastle United supporters and showing a crushing inability to pronounce the names of Newcastle's top players. Kinnear called Yohan Cabaye, "Yohan Kebab" and have you ever heard of Hatem Ben Affri? Kinnear Read more

Joe Kinnear Back at Newcastle / Confederations Cup

Good morning. Joe Kinnear has re-joined Newcastle United under the guise of "Director of Football." Due to the absurdity of the appointment, I could finish the blog here and leave you to chew on that information for the entirety of your Monday. It is a very bizarre development at Newcastle, as Read more

Like a quiet volcano, Cristian Pasquato is a player whose career will surely explode into life sooner rather than later. Having spent five years learning his trade in the Juventus youth academy, showing great promise, Pasquato made his step-up to first team football for the 2008-09 season, before finding himself immediately loaned out to Empoli on a year loan. Making 35 appearances for Empoli, Pasquato was only to score two goals, but at the age of 18, Pasquato was never expected to score 20+ as being so young, it was all about learning the trade of his career.

Following that loan at Empoli, Pasquato has found himself loaned to various other clubs, taking Pasquato to a total of five different clubs in the space of four years, with loan spells at; Triestina, Modena and more recently, Lecce and now, Torino.

Pasquato showed his best form with Modena, scoring 9 goals in 40 appearances, a good record for a then 20 year old Pasquato. A season-long loan to Lecce was cut short this season by Juventus as the Turin club felt Pasquato’s development was not coming along as they had hoped, so another loan was agreed, this time with Torino, where it is hoped Pasquato justifies the faith placed in him by Juventus.

Blessed with natural pace and a penchant for the spectacular, Pasquato showed what he can do with a great show against Club America in a pre-season friendly for Juventus, scoring a sublime goal.

For FIFA 12 gamers, Pasquato does cost £15 million but for those of you who love to break with an injection of pace, Pasquato is the perfect player and at 22, with the natural attributes he’s blessed with, there is plenty of room for improvement.
